Elder Reinstein Week 42

Well, I don’t have a ton to report this week. Only a few things seemed out of the ordinary, but then again my definition of “ordinary” has certainly altered since arriving in Mozambique. It is pretty ordinary to see chickens running free on the roads. It is pretty ordinary to have to hop puddles to get our next lesson. It is pretty ordinary to stand on one leg to fit into a chappa (van transport) crammed with people. It is pretty ordinary to teach outside, in lawn chairs (or even on reed mats). But also it pretty ordinary to find a loving humble people, that warmly welcome you in and let you minister to their family. It is pretty ordinary to find a new person come to church each week that wants to learn more. It is so common to see the Lord’s hand in the work; the challenge is remembering to thank Him.

Anyway, to put my sentiments aside, we had a busy week. Went on a division with Elder Williams this week. Had a busy day with 7 lessons yesterday, including discovering multiple less active members. Oh something funny! Pedro and Ana invited us over this week to bless all the wedding gifts. I guess they we hoping that none of the gifts would be cursed. Superstition is really big here.
